Making Organic Cinnamon Hydrosol with LT3000

Winter is coming and it is the right season to use cinnamon hydrosol. Fresh made cinnamon hydrosol and oil is great to add sweet scent in this winter. The lovely milky color comes from the dispersed cinnamaldehyde. Cinnamaldehyde is the unique organic compound in cinnamon which brings the flavor and odor. This compound has been widely used in food industry and has long history of treating flu, diarrhea and cold.

Today I am using LT3000 to steam distill cinnamon barks and made the beautiful milky hydrosol with oil and cinnamaldehyde. This is a great gift of nature for us especially in the cold season. This hydrosol can be used as air freshener, floor cleanser or drink and food additive.
